Description
Bruce Lee films introduced Kung Fu to Western Cinema & popularised Martial Arts the world over. After scoring several hits in Hong Kong with films such as "The Big Boss" (1971) & "Fist of Fury" (1972), Lee made "The Way of the Dragon", the choice of Rome as a location being a conscious attempt to woo a broader audience. The strategy worked & Lee found growing international recognition. Unfortunately, shortly after completing work on the follow-up, "Enter The Dragon" (1973), Lee died ensuring a substantial cult following. "The Way of the Dragon" & Lee's fame spawned a flood of derivative Martial Arts films, the majority being made or financed in Hong Kong. The poster artwork here is by Sam Peffer, more frequently an illustrator of Sexploitation genre film posters (see Sim Branaghan's "British Film Posters book 2006).
