DescriptionThis British Quad poster duplicated the Richard Amsel artwork from the US 1-Sheet movie poster (image courtesy of emoveposter.com). American artist Richard Amsel (1947-85) enjoyed a busy career until his untimely death. He worked not only on movie poster designs but also record & magazine covers too, his depiction of "Indiana Jones", probably being his most famous design (it is believed that George Lucas owns the original artwork). Although a fine piece of work, the UK distributors felt that a more dynamic & exciting interpretation was called for. As a consequence, the British artist Brian Bysouth was commissioned & he created a radically different poster design (known as the B-Style Quad, also shown below courtesy of
