Description
The Sexploitation genre enjoyed cult interest for many years but the Christies auction of "Exploitation Poster Art" in 2005, introduced these posters to a wider audience. Within the genre, material by the American director, Russ Meyer, is much sought after. Meyer brought an uncompromising yet humorous approach to his productions, his films featuring a procession of well upholstered females such as the lady depicted here on this poster for "Mondo Topless". Released in the USA in 1966, the abundance of naked flesh & bouncing breasts was such that "Mondo Topless" failed to secure a British release until 1984. This 80's Quad nonetheless maintains a retro theme, the day-glo surround & film title suggesting the triumph of sensationalism over subtlety!  This was a poster that featured in the Christies "Exploitation" sale of 2005. The poster has been cleaned, de-acidified & linen-backed.
