Description

The poster art for this US 1-Sheet poster owes a debt to Saul Bass but was actually created by James Bama (possibly from a Bill Gold design). Bama was a prolific illustrator but produced artwork for corporate advertising campaigns for the likes of "Coca-Cola", "Ford" & "General Electric". Bama also illustrated for "Readers Digest" & provided artwork for various book covers. Film poster work formed a smaller part of Bama's repertoire but his illustration for "Cool Hand Luke" is his best known poster design. We show the corresponding Quad poster for reference.
